ideation and intrusiveness

ah, have you ever had a thought?
(of course you have. you can think, after all)
but i mean thoughts along the lines of

             "haha, you'd sound better without any vocal chords"

            "i'll strangle her if she took the last snack"

            "we're so high up... i wonder what would happen if i jumped?"

            "what if i stabbed someone with this knife?"

            "her necklace is so nice, but i feel the urge to tear it to pieces"

etcetera, etcetera, etcetera

and then you, the mentally sound individual, are left with a cold feeling

(it runs down your spine and reverberates through your body like lightning
cold sweat beads on your forehead, why is it so freezing in here?)

you'd never do any of these things, right?
you, in all of your right mind, would never ever do these things
right?

why would you ever have these thoughts?

that lets you think
that narrates your life and your feelings)

and i must tell you that, it's nice in here
so normal and average
perfectly neuro-typical, i must say

i lurk in the frontal lobes of your brain
i am impulse and the ability to control it
and everything's working in order
